The Outbrain JS

Our JavaScript is lightweight and loads asynchronously, and will never delay page loading.

For most publishers, implementing the Outbrain code involves one simple step. Place the code provided in the area of your site where you would like our widget to appear. Here is a typical example of our code:

<div class="OUTBRAIN" data-src="" data-widget-id="WIDGET_ID" data-ob-template="TEMPLATE"></div>
<script type="text/javascript" async="async" src="http://widgets.outbrain.com/outbrain.js"></script>

Your rep will provide you (they likely already did) with the TEMPLATE and WIDGET_ID values specific to your implementation.

Crawling

For optimal performance, please ensure that your pages have metadata (open graph or canonical tags) for the article title, description, image, and date.

Going Live

Once Outbrain has set up the widget and validated everything in testing, you can launch the Outbrain widget. Please let your launch specialist know the expected date and time of launch so they can complete a review of your site post launch.
